Man, I think you guys all nailed my favorite authors. Only one on there that no one mentioned, probably because she
passed recently, but I really would have loved to have a nice sit down chat with Anne McCaffery and pick her brain.
She was so amazing.
Today, I'm going with something just a little different. I love food. Love to cook it, love to eat it, love to buy cookbooks
about it and dream up all sorts of amazing new dishes. Most of you know by now I was at a crossroads a few years
ago, I was either going to culinary school, or I was going to become a writer. Obviously you know what I chose. But,
my passion for food has never really changed. So, I just want to know, what's your favorite meal in the whole wide
world?
I've got a really eclectic palette, I've eaten African, Italian, Greek, Chinese (the real stuff), Thai, Cuban, Panamanian,
Moroccan, Hungarian, Dutch, Irish, Persian, Indian...and well, the list goes on. But if I had to pick my hands down
favorite I would definitely say it was this spicy lamb dish I had in Disney World. I can no longer remember the name
of it, but it had roasted lamb shank served over a heaping bed of couscous with golden raisens, toasted almond
slivers, and boiled egg in it. Sounds weird, tasted absolutely amazing. If I could only have one more meal, that would
definitely be it.
So what about you guys?
Answer below and you'll win an autographed copy of Crimson Night along with genie lamp charm necklace!

I love Japanese food... there's a dish you can get in Okinawa that's called Shabu Shabu and I love it. I actually recently found a, place here in Vegas that's that style... if you haven't tried it I absolutely recommend it!!! It's extremely unique :-)
I am a pastry chef so my favorite meals always end in a fabulous dessert particularly cupcakes. But my favorite savory dish would have to be a good filet cooked on the grill by the love of my life who is also a chef. With a side of his delicious smoked corn on the cob it is perfect. I find it interesting that you wanted to go to culinary school Marie... I once dreamed of being a writer and now I'm a chef.
My favorite is pancit and lumpia. My Grandmother used to cook a big dinner every Sunday and would cook both with some sweet bread and I loved it.
I LOVE chicken 'n dumplings with an apple cider vinegar/cream gravy. It's Czech food and the dumplings are like clouds...
I love cream cheese chicken stuffed with mushrooms, sushi, juicy lucys (a hamburger stuffed with cheese), seafood, Italian food, potato pancakes, corn fritters, and snitzel (pretty sure I missed spelled that one). Though I will try anything once
My favorite is domaldes...not sure if I spelled it correctly. Stuffed grape leaves
My grandma makes the best chicken n dumplins ever!!!
It's simple and freakin delicious. I live across the country from her and I make them when i want to feel like I'm back in the South.
Home made fried rice and teriyaki chicken
There's nothing better than fresh caught steelhead fillet cooked on the barbeque by my wonderful husband (he still won't tell me what he puts on it to make it so mouth-wateringly delectable), a side of bleu cheese, chive, and bacon mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus! Nothing beats home cooking with the one you love :)
My favourite dish is an Iranian dish (I'm half Iranin) and it has chicken walnuts and pomegranate juice its called (probably spelled wrong) fenseinjune...I love it especially when its cooked by my Bebejon
Love to grill so any kind of steak, burgers and cheesy brats. Also enjoy Mexican, Italian, and Chinese.
My favorite dish to make is turkey meatloaf. The recipe I use is so simple and the meatloaf ends up being moist!
I love Italian food, Chinese and trying different types of Suisi.
Cashew chicken and fried rice! It's common where I'm from in SW Missouri but when I moved to another state for work no one had ever heard of it! So now I can only get my favorite food when I go back to MO to visit family.
Cheesecake!! any kind of cheesecake!!!
I love Iranian and Japanese food
Chicken Corma I'm drooling just thinking about it. It's a mild curry, it's really creamy and I love it so much. Last summer I had it 3 days in a row. I was born in Sri-Lanka so for the first two years of my life I ate it regularly.
Chicken with mol'e and Mexican rice or pretty much any kind of Mexican foood
I love Italian food. Chicken marsala with bread sticks tastes the best!
hmmm, my fave meal in the whole world would be homemade perogies that my Mom and I make, with bbq's ham shank/butt (she barbecues the ham at Christmas and Easter, or whenever else we have it and it is sooooo good!) followed by her own recipe of butter tarts and lemon tarts. My Mom is a fantastic cook. :) And since I have not traveled too much, ok hardly ever, that would be my ultimate meal. Actually when I got out of the hospital after a month in there, and was finally able to eat, that is what my Mom made. I LOVED IT!!!!
Italian and Lebanese
My favorite is caught between desserts and home comfort foods. I love making baked mac and cheese and had recently made tortellini carbonara. I just love feel good meals, healthy or not.
Grilled steak and lobster with garlic mashed potatoes, cheddar biscuits, and mixed greens salad with grilled watermelon for desert. Out of necessity my husband has become an incredible cook and what he can do on s grill is magic!
I love Chinese food, especially dumplings :)
Macaroni and Cheese. Couldn't get enough of it as a kid and I still can't.
My favorite would have to be a Roast Lamb dinner with roast vegetables. Total comfort food.
I love to try all kinds of food. I love experimenting with all different types of ingredients. but my absolute fav would be italian food (not the fake kind neither)
I love my mother's cooking, specifically her sides. Chicken, ham, etc. is nice, but I always look forward to everything else. She's a good ole southern cook who's not afraid to try new things. We have things traditional like mac n cheese, cream potatoes, and corn pudding, but it's a little different every time because she's always tweaking the recipe a little. The only thing that remains consistent is the greens are always cooked with onions and bacon grease, erasing any and all nutritional value. Yum!
My favorite meal is a local one. A nice plump pasty with a pickle on the side... that is a meal in itself ... Add ketchup and this girl is happy.
