I was fortunate, as a reviewer, to be given an advance copy of Hook's Pan to review. After reading just ten pages, I went back and bought the rest of the Kingdom Series, and devoured them in one sitting. And Hook's story is absolutely fantastic, and I will be posting my review on my blog shortly. Any chance for finding more Bad Boys for Danika to save? I want more of this world.

Marie Hall said...

Oh yes, there will be more. :) I'm currently working on the sixth book, The Huntsman's Prey. I'll also be releasing a Kingdom novelette in the next few days. It's a short story written from Danika's pov which will tie the new Dark Princess series to the old Bad Five Series. And I'm so glad you enjoyed them! :) Thank you for writing me. :D I always enjoy hearing from readers.

I read the kingdom series, and loved it. Since I liked it so much I read the witching hour. Just wondering when book 2 comes out.

Marie Hall said...

Hi Jackie, thank you. :) The second book to the grim reaper saga will release most likely sometime next year. The book has been purchased by a NY imprint and their publishing schedule can take a while to release. But if you sign up for my newsletter I'll let you know all about my latest releases! :)

Luce Price said...

I love your books. I really do. I'm so glad you aren't ending the series, there are other sad evil people who need some love too... like Scar. Anyway I cant wait for the next series, sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for them.

Bonnie H said...

Hi! Um, just so you know, that's me up there. Luce Price, it was an alias for someone I didn't know yet. But it is very true. I love your books, I really do. I wish I could write like you do. I'm trying to be a writer and....well most of my "books" are kind of sad. Please if you have any tips for a hopeful writer I would love it if you could help out.

Marie Hall said...

Hi Bonnie, I sure do have some tips. Find yourself a great writers group. If you're interested in doing Romance, then Romance Divas is a wonderful place to start. They're open to new members right now and there are soooo many authors in that forum, including myself, who're willing to share whatever dregs of knowledge we've learned through the years. On top of that, find readers and friends you trust to read your books and be willing to accept constructive criticism to help you improve. I'd suggest finding another writer so that you can both learn and grow at the same time. :)

But the biggest thing to writing is to just do it. There are many days when you might wake up and think I just don't want to do this, do it anyway. Odds are good you'll wind up deleting half the stuff you write, but give your brain a chance to start thinking on the plot and before you know it you're in the groove and writing pretty darn good stuff. Most of all, have fun and just write what you love. That's the key to success.

And thank you so much for your praise, I really do appreciate it. :)

Tina Helms said...

Just wanted to say Love, Love, Love the Kingdom series! Especially Hatter! I just signed up for the newsletter so I can't wait to read more about your new stuff. The Dark Princess series sounds like it'll be cool. I have to find the Moment series now and Danikas story. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to read more!

Marie Hall said...

Awww, that's awesome. I'm really glad you've enjoyed the books. :) And the Dark Princess series is based on the children of the couples in the Bad Boys books. ;) It's gonna be a blast. :)

Thank you so much!

firedancer123 said...

Stumbled onto Her Mad Hatter... And fell in love with the series... I'll admit I have a 'thing' for the bad boys and this series satisfies immensely. Now I'm left wishing there were more... Perhaps a Marian for the Sheriff of Nottingham... LOL... :) Danika's job can not be done! ;)

Seriously though, you are great author! Keep on writing please!

In the middle of reading the kingdom series. just finished red and her wolf. I love the twist you have on traditional fairy tales! Can't wait to read Jinni and Hook's stories. I was so hoping Dani would get a new bad boy to match up.... A certain, mask wearing man who goes by Le fantome de l'opera perhaps! We all know Christine broke his heart and left him in need of finding his true mate! Though I seem to be sensing Dani is moving on to pricesses. Ah well I'll keep my eyes open and definitely will read the rest of this wonderful series!

I'd like to know if there will be a second book cause i ve tried to search some news but i didn' t find them....
If the answer is yes when will it be released?
Thanks :-)

Marie Hall said...

Hi Madammima87. So the book is called Right Now and it's slated for a September release, I'm not sure exact date yet. The reason why I have no covers up for that book is because my cover designer is currently busy at work on it. I'm hopeful I"ll have the cover soonish. As soon as I get the cover I do promise to put up more information. :) In the meantime I think it's super awesome you're an Italian reader and that you thought the book was great. That's always exciting when someone outside the US tells me they enjoyed my book. :)

Happy reading,
~Marie

Hi Chelse, Right Now is looking at a late September release date. However, make sure to check back at my blog or better yet, sign up for the free newsletter and I'll email you the information directly. :) So glad you enjoyed A Moment.

Hello Abby, at the moment I'm not quite sure. I have a contracted book due in October to NY. After that I'll be working on The Huntsman's Prey, which is book 6 of Kingdom and that begins the spinoff into the dark princess series. So I'm hoping for a late 2013 release, possible even an early 2014 release date. :)

Oh that's neat about Barnes and Noble. :) Glad you enjoyed the books! If you want to really stay on top of my releases perhaps consider signing up for my newsletter. I don't spam with it, in fact, I only send it out to highlight a new release. :) But as far as projections go, I'm leaning towards an early 2014 release. No idea just when yet. I've got other books that are due to their publisher first. Once I get those out of the way, then I can refocus back on Princess. :) Thanks so much!

I just bought the five book deal Magic after Dark I'm a huge fan of SM Reine and she recommended Crimson Night. Well I just want you to know you have a new fan in me. I have been feeling so jaded lately. I feel like I've read every Urban Fantasy book out there and there were no good new authors with no original ideas. I'm so glad I found you. You have a fan in me. I'm going to get busy reading g your other books. Just wondering for when I'm done, are there any authors you recommend?

Marie Hall said...

Yay, wow... what a compliment. :) SM is awesome, both as a person and a writer. I love her books too. Well, apart from the obvious suspects when it comes to UF, two of my personal favorites is Deanna Chase and Dannika Dark, who were also in the boxed set with me. Buy also Shannon Meyer, who if you haven't read her Raylene books, are really wicked good. :D And I really appreciate your reaching out to me! If you haven't yet, consider signing up for my newsletter, I'll be releasing the follow up sequel to Crimson Night in a few months and if you'd like to know about it I'll have the release info posted there. The tab to sign up is just above here.

The title was recommended to me but i'd never read any books by yourself before & It was cheaper to buy the boxed set $.99 (6 books total 4 i'd already read What can I say? You had great company in that set) vs buying just your ebook $3.99. I try to stretch my book budget especially when it comes to NTM (new to me) authors. Anyway, I'm so happy I did. As it turned out I LOVE Pandora the world she lives in. The book read as a first in a series & "book 1" is listed after the title on Amazon & Good Reads. However, I cannot find any mention of a second book in the works or one already published. This story was amazing!
Sooo I'm wondering... Is this a stand alone book?? If not, when will the 2nd book in this series/trilogy (whatever) be published?
Thanks

Oh & Crimson Night was like cotton cady. I need my next fix so If you hear the desperation for book 2 it's not your imagination. =-)

Marie Hall said...

Hi Q, first of all... so glad you enjoyed the book! :D Believe it or not, Pandora is my favorite character I've ever created. And don't apologize for waiting to buy the book until you could get it on the cheap. It's the exact reason why I stuck it in the boxed set, to give new readers a chance to try my work. :) There is absolutely a sequel in the works, it's called All Hallows Night and it's looking like a late spring release. :D If you sign up for my newsletter, you'll receive all sorts of updates about it's future release. So glad you enjoyed her, I love her story and just wait till you find out the rest. ;)

Hey!!! I just became a fan of yours a few days ago. I love the Kingdom series so much that I finished the whole series in, i don't know, 3 1/2 days lol. I am a fast reader and being that I have devoured the Bad Five's books I was wondering when Chrysa's story will be done. I am literally dying inside knowing that the Kingdom will continue but I can't see the continuation yet. Please, Please tell me it is soon. And just know that if you need another Beta reader I am here at your service. lol

Your new and sickeningly loyal fan,
Rayale

Marie Hall said...

Rayale! :) So glad you've enjoyed the books. :D Chrysa's book will not be coming until next year. However, I am already working on the project. :) However, I do have another Kingdom book coming out first, Moon's Flower. It's my Christmas special and that one will release on the 7th of next month! ;) And if you're a super fan, then I suggest you check out my street team fan page on FB, it's a place where all my biggest fans hang out and talk about the books, also I jump in and post sneak peek and first peek's of future books as well as giving away awesome prizes randomly. :)

Happy reading!

I've just read Crimson Night, WOW... very good. When will the 2nd book be out?

Marie Hall said...

Hi Tracy, thank you. :) I'm actually working on its sequel now. If you want to know exact publishing dates, I suggest you check out my newsletter link right here on this blog. :) I never get spammy with it, but I do send out newsletters letting my readers know when a date is approaching. It's hard for me to nail down a date because things move so fluidly in this industry. I'm the type that likes to publish a book as soon as it's done and everything's ready to go, so I'm never actually certain when the date will be until I get closer to the end of the project. :) Very glad you enjoyed Pandora's story though.

I love the kingdom series and I agree that bad boys need love too.
I can't wait for Huntsman's prey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marie Hall said...

Awesome! Thank you, Rachel. :D I'm very close to being done with his story!! I'm pretty excited about this one, back in Wonderland and with Hatter, it's been fun. :)

Hey! Just finished the third book in the chaos in time series and am loving it! Keep up the good work! I love your writing and can't wait for the next one to come!!!

Marie Hall said...

Woot! I'm so glad you've been enjoying them. :D Hunter's story will be next, it's gonna be pretty epic. ;)

I just started your kingdom series very good!!! I was wondering when your sequel to crimson night will be released? I just loved the first one I actually own a carnival so it was interesting coming across this book

Marie Hall said...

Thank you! :) I'm working on the sequel right now and am looking at around an April release. Though I'm hoping for earlier. I used to work in a traveling carnival, some of my best summer memories happened there, it's why I wanted to write about one. :D Also, if you'd like to know when I plan to release the sequel for sure make sure to sign up for my newsletter on the tab above, I promise to never spam, but I'm better able to give exact release dates through them. :) Hope you have a Happy New Year!

I finally, finally, finally bought Jinni's Wish. I've had the other ones for ages and I've re-read the first three more times than I can count but I was holding off on buying the fourth one as an incentive to redecorate. That plan didn't work out so well but I did eventually make a start so I decided to reward myself. I have little will power when it comes to resisting books and yours are particularly delicious like a gooey chocolate cupcake with a rich, melted chocolate centre where you tell yourself that you will only have one and then half an hour later you are wondering where they have all gone. Anyway, I read Jinni's Wish within a day and I barely managed to spread it out for that long and it was so beautiful I actually cried at the end which is a very rare thing for me to do. It was so incredible and perfect. Now I just have to resist the lure of Hook long enough for me to finish decorating. Hatter has always been a favourite of mine and I adore fairy-tale but there's something enticing about your Hook that has me itching to read about him (plus I have a major weakness for Hook from the TV series Once Upon A Time) :D Wish me luck ;) I adore your writing and I'm so excited for anything new. XXX

So bummed! The Fractured Fairy Tale collection showed up as a recommendation for me and when I went to go purchase it it said it was no longer available! Boo.

Marie Hall said...

Yes, unfortunately because I wasn't the sole author in the set, once the majority votes that it's time to take the book down, down it must come. :( However, you can still read Hook's Pan, which was my offering in the set, if you'd like. Again, sorry about that, but it was really out of my hands.

I am curious. When is The Huntsman's Prey scheduled to come out? I am an avid reader of all of your novels, but I must admit that the Kingdom series holds a special place inmy heart.

Marie Hall said...

Aww, thank you. :) Huntsman comes out Feb. 13! ;) So mark the date. *g* But in case you haven't already, make sure you sign up for my newsletter. The tab is right above, I never, ever spam, but it's what I use when I'm setting a hard and firm date on publication. So glad you've enjoyed Kingdom, I have a very special place in my heart for that world too. I'm just a big girl who never outgrew fairy tales. :p

Jacey said...

I was just wondering when the 3rd book in moments series would be out I really love them and can't wait

Marie Hall said...

HI Jacey, I'm working on wrapping up the last contracted book and then I'll be free to focus on Jaime and Tor. I'm aiming for a May release with that book! :) Thank you so much for asking. :D If you'd like to know for sure, make sure to sign up for my newsletter as that's where you'll definitely hear about publication dates from me. :D

I will forever associate Three Libras with Pandora and Kemen. It was such a perfect moment in the book and made the ending that much more heartbreaking. I think he really loved her and was trying to get her to realize that when he requested she sing that particular song. *sigh*

Marie Hall said...

Yes, he was telling her that. Kemen was a metaphor for her humanity, he might be gone, but he still plays a role throughout the rest of the books :) Glad you liked them.

I love, love your Kingdom Series! I own the books in paperback (Kingdom Collection: Books 1-3 and Kingdom Chronicles: Books 4 & 5) Will there be a paperback version or collection of the Dark Princess series?

Marie Hall said...

Thank you so much! :) I'm actually currently in the process of getting Moon's Flower and Huntsman's Prey into a collection for print. :D So glad you 've been enjoying the books!

Dragonskull2523 said...

So I have a question. I didn't hear anything about Moon's Flower so when I went on to put Huntsman's Prey on my wish list, I saw it. On B&N it says that both Moon's Flower and Huntsman's Prey is #7. Just thought I would let you know. Don't know how I missed Moon's Flower.

Marie Hall said...

Hmm, that is odd. Thanks for giving me the heads up! :) I'll get that fixed. :D

Abcde said...

Hey, I love your Kingdom series! Just finished reading Hook's Pan again, and was wondering if Smee gets a girl? The quiet Irish man, needs one I think. Just throwing that out there. :D Keep up the good work, m'lady but don't over work urself.

Marie Hall said...

Hi ABC :)

So glad you've enjoyed the Kingdom Series. As of right now there are no plans for the Irish man, but that's not to say that down the line there won't be. I have my heroes casted for the next three books, so for now... he's not among them. :D

I have another question about the Fractured Fairy Tales book Collection. I purchased it when it was still available for the main reason that I thought it had a new Hatter story in it. Upon reading your website description for the book, it seems like it's just a small scene, and not a full book or novella. If I was looking to read this scene in a type of reading order, when should I read it? Or is this scene something that has already been incorporated into Her Mad Hatter, Danika's Surprise, or The Huntsman's Prey?

Marie Hall said...

Hi Dusk, yes, it's already been incorporated. So just going in order will give you the full picture of Kingdom as a whole. :)

I really hope you enjoy it. :D

Melissa Mercado said...

Hi I loved your Kingdom Series. I just finished the Bad 5 books. Will you be making your following books in a collection set like you did for books 1-5? Can't wait to read the next ones.

Marie Hall said...

Hi Melissa, no I won't be. The reason why I bundled the first 5 was because they're relatively short books. The rest of the books in the series (with the exception of Moon's Flower) are considered to be full length novels. Nearly 70k words or 250 pages each. So I publish them separately. :)

Thank you for asking.

Kim Garcia said...

I just recently encountered your Kingdom collection and love it!! Can't wait to see what you have coming out next!!

Marie Hall said...

Thank you so much, Kim! :D I'm still working on Kingdom, but I also have lots of other books out there. :)

Lisha Rubino said...

Hi Marie,
I have literally spent the last three weeks reading your books -one after the other-starting with the Kingdom Series. I loved them so much I went on to the Night Series, then the Moments Series and finally the Eternal Lovers series. I'm now at a loss of what to do until Howler's Night comes out…Before I found Her Mad Hatter, I could count the romance novels I've read on less than one hand. You've created wonderful worlds and characters that are believable and real. It's quite amazing how each series has it's own voice, but still reflects your writing style. I'm curious if you will be continuing the Eternal Lovers series??? I really hope so, I think Eve's sisters need death too :)

Marie Hall said...

Lisha, wow, I don't even know what to say. LOL. Thank you so much, and glad you liked them. AS to the eternal lover's series. That was contracted by NY and they don't want to pick up any new books in that world, which means I can't publish anything else in that series for 7 years. So for now, no, there won't be any new books. So sorry.

But thank you for asking. :)
