Kingdom, the Series

Alice is all grown up. Running the Mad Hatter's Cupcakery and Tea Shoppe is a delicious job, until fate--and a fairy godmother with a weakness for bad boys--throws her a curveball. Now, Alice is the newest resident of Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter fuels her fantasies and thrills her body with his dark touch.

The Mad Hatter may have a voice and a body made for sex, but he takes no lovers. Ever. But a determined fairy godmother has forced Alice into Wonderland--and his arms. Now, as desire and madness converge, the Hatter must decide if he will fight the fairy godmother's mating--or fight for Alice.

A not so classic retelling of Beauty and the Beast, as seen through the eyes of the villain...

Betty Hart has had it with men. Jilted in love, her life now consists of shelving books by day, watching too much Anime by night, and occasionally dressing up like a superhero on the weekends with her fellow ‘Bleeding Heart’ nerds. Men are not welcome and very much unwanted. Especially the sexy Frenchman who saunters into her library reeking of alcohol and looking like he went one too many rounds in the ring.

Gerard Caron is in trouble. Again. Caught with his pants down (literally) he’s forced to seek asylum on Earth while his fairy godmother tries to keep Prince Charming from going all ‘Off with his head’. Maybe, messing around with the King’s daughter hadn’t been such a great idea after all, not that Gerard knew the silly redhead was a princess. But his fairy godmother knows the only way to save his life is to finally pair Gerard with his perfect mate, whether he’s willing or not.

From the moment Gerard lays eyes on the nerdy librarian he knows he must have her, but Betty is unlike any woman he’s ever known. He thought Betty would come as willingly to his bed as every other woman before her, but she is a woman who demands respect and even… horror of all horrors… love. Is it possible for a self-proclaimed Casanova to change his ways?

Once upon a time, long, long ago a flower fairy looked up to the sky and dared to fall in love with the Man in the Moon…

This is a very special and hidden story of Kingdom.

Rumors abound in Wonderland, of a dark princess named Chrysalis who bears the Moon's curse. Her beauty is beyond compare, and her madness… even greater than her father’s, The Hatter. Death follows wherever she roams, and Danika—fairy godmother of all villains—knows this task is too great for her to handle on her own. She has no choice but to seek out the one they call Huntsman, his mission is simple: Find the creature, and destroy it.

But nothing is ever so simple in Kingdom. The moment the hunter Aeric steps foot in the mad, twisted realm he's enveloped in a reality that is neither wholly true nor fantasy. The key, the Cheshire explains, to ending the madness is for one to become mad themselves. The Huntsman has one chance to figure out the riddle before the beauty destroys them all…

Imp, deceiver, villainous mastermind… Rumpelstiltskin’s been called all these names and more, and for the most part, they’re entirely true. But there is more to the brooding, blond haired Adonis than brokering deals for the devil. He’s hiding a terrible, hideous secret. One that threatens to fray the already delicate strands of his sanity and reason. A secret that he’s desperate to make right, to see whole again, and there is no one and nothing that will stand in his way of getting what he wants—no one except a slip of woman with hair like fire and skin like finest porcelain. Something about Shayera Caron calls to the beast inside him and makes him question his motives for the first time in his life.

Shayera Caron is the daughter of the infamous Gerard Caron, former lothario of Kingdom but now a reformed rake and settled husband and father. She can go nowhere in her tiny hamlet without seeing the sneers of women and hearing the murmurings of their disdain for the blood that runs through her veins. Shayera is desperate to get away from the gossiping hens, so when Rumpelstiltskin rides into town, she doesn’t think twice before going wherever he leads. Only thing is Shayera is not as innocent as she might seem, for she hides a secret too. One that will bring the most feared man in all of Kingdom to his knees…

Erualis' time is running out and now Rumpelstiltskin says there are only two who can save him...

Lilith Wolf, the daughter of the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood has a problem, she's an unmated female in heat. She has to get away from the males of her village unless she wants to find herself involuntarily hand fasted to the first one to tame her wolf. So when Giles Damien comes to her calling due the pact she'd signed with Rumpelstiltskin years ago, she doesn't really think twice about the fact that she'll be journeying to Fyre Mountain. Even though that means she'll be crossing paths with an angry water dragon, a pub full of rowdy Merry Men, and rock dwarves with a taste for flesh... For an alpha female that's an adventure. No problem. Find the Chalice of Hope, come back home, and life will return back to normal again.

But she hadn't counted on an honorable Giles Damien to intrigue not only her female sensibilities, but her wolf too. He's a warrior, but he's sweet, he's patient, and he's altogether different from the aggressive, rough males of her village. Problem is Giles is a demone, and everyone knows they don't mingle outside of their species. But now her sights are set on him and she's going to make it her mission to prove to the stubborn headed demone that sometimes love can come from the most unexpected of circumstances...

Nixie is a genie with a problem. She's just killed her Master. Kind of a big no-no for her kind, but really, what did the ruling council of genie's expect her to do? It's not like she was given a handbook on how to be a "proper genie". She was never even supposed to wind up in Kingdom. She'd been born on Earth, Chicago specifically. Her father also happens to be Tristan Black, which yeah, kind of an issue. Now they've thrown the book at her, locking her away in the most wild, most hidden part of Kingdom and only the bravest could ever have a hope of saving her from a prison of perpetual darkness.

Robin Hood is a man on a mission. The tales have gotten this "hero" all wrong, he may not be the altruistic knight of yore, in fact, he might even be attempting a coup of his realm.

But as we all know, in Kingdom, things are rarely as they seem...

Nimue, daughter of Hook, is desperate to prove to her parents that she's just as brave and as much of a pirate as they are. So when she serendipitously spies the hidden isle, she knows what she must do. A fearsome creature known as the Sea Hag is reputed to be hiding thirteen soul orbs within its sands and rumor has it any pirate brave enough to trespass there and snatch one up will be able to harness the power of the hag as his or her own. And that's just what Nimue aims to do. But, as is often her lot in life, things go horribly awry.

Sircco, King of the Sea, has no time for leggers. Those vile creatures in the Above also known as humans, and pirates are the worst of the lot. But when a feminine cry reaches his ears, his curiosity gets to him and against his better judgment finds himself offering the hag a trade for the wild, little legger with eyes of blue and hair the deepest color of his seas.

Human and merfolk do not fall in love with each other. It is simply impossible. But in Kingdom, there is no such thing as the impossible, merely obstacles a certain fairy godmother can easily overcome with a little fairy magic and some help from a few friends in very high places...

A Pirate's Dream is the final book in the Dark Princess Saga.

I was playing around with the kindle app on my phone and saw I could get free stories and I saw yours. I have to say I always wished someone would do what you did to the "Bad Boys" of the fairy tale world :) Well I started reading less then a month ago and well I'm waiting on bated breath for Hood's Obsession to come out :) I guess I just want to say thank you for well being you :)

Unknown said...

Thank you, Gina. You know I've always had a thing for the bad boys and girls of fairy tales, long before Malifecent came out I had an affinity for them. I like to play devil's advocate and hear the other side of the story. What I couldn't have known when I started this though was just how many readers out there felt as I did about them. I'm so glad so many of you feel as I do. :) Kingdom is fun for me and I plan to write those books for years to come Lord willing. :p

I love the Kingdom series, recently mentioned them to a Command Major in the Army and she is a big Nora Roberts fan. She was intrigued; we all love the fairtales of our youth. Considering I am a college prof and she a career officer, your appeal is amazing.

I look forward to #10. Thank you for providing a wonderfully fun and exciting respite from the weight that is my life. You give me joy and I smile a great deal when I read your work.

Thank you!

Unknown said...

Thank you so much, Prof! :) That makes me so happy to hear. My husband is also a military man, I have great respect for those who serve our country. And for the Profs that teach us too. ;)

I'm actually wrapping up #10 today. Her One Wish. Robin Hood and Jinni's daughter, it's been an adventure, as they always are.

Thank you so much for reaching out to me, these little notes are always so encouraging to me.

Ms.Hall, your books are simply amazing and very well detailed and explained so far so that one can imagine vividly the oddities of Wonderland, and he internal turmoil of the characters. I've finished the Kingdom Series volume 1 and was greatly satisfied by your stories, they are a mix of pretty much everything, sexy yet sentimental, funny yet serious and sometimes down right chaotic and i just felt the need to tell you that your works, especially in the first volume (it's the only one I've read) that i sincerely love your book and was so addicted to it that i literally spent my whole day reading it and laughing and crying along with the characters. You're an amazing author and if you could I would really like to know about the thought process that happens when you think of a new story or even how you got into writing. I really hope that you can answer my questions ( I have a lot) and thank you for taking the time to read this. :)

Unknown said...

Yay! Thank you so much, very happy you enjoyed the books. Thought process... it's like this, I write the books I want to read. That's basically it. lol I'm a huge fairy tale fan, but was always way more curious about what actually happened to the "bad guys" because to me, there are always two sides to every story and Peter Pan, Beast, and Little Red Riding Hood were good because that's what THEIR story tells us. But we're only getting their side, what's the real truth. Is Peter really just a brat that loves harassing Hook, Is Beast really reformed, or was Gaston horribly represented, and was Little Red really that innocent? LOL. That's my thought process and then from there I begin to formulate a story and the rest is history. :)

I have been reading books from the beginning of my very long 37 years.I've read thousands of every kind of book you can think of then 2 years ago my father died suddenly. I was 3 day's away from going to visit him with my daughter and out of nowhere he died I was devastated. I knew or like felt something was wrong with him and I called him everyday that month to check on him he kept saying he was fine and couldn't wait to see his babies. He always called me his baby girl. Well anyways right after he passed I couldn't do anything I was upset a lot my husband noticed that I didn't seem to have a book in my hand or my beloved kindle that's like an extension to my body I was never without ether. I told him that living in fantasy rather realty was not life. So he left me alone about it. My mom said one day to me why aren't you reading your books any more and I told her that all the stories were just nothing I mean I use to be able to feel there feelings like they were my own. Laugh ,cry whatever but I couldn't since dad died. She told me it would get better then I made her promise that she was not allowed to to die at all in the next year cause I couldn't handle another parent dying on me anytime soon. She waited exactly a year from the day my dad died. It wasn't suddenly as much as my dad my sister and I had let her go and got be with her as she past. I started to read again about 6 months later and the first book I ran across was your Kingdom books. I was thinking at the time I need a little fairytale in my life and your books made me laugh and cry and feel all the emotions I use to have when I read them and these Characters didn't just be there they felt like family so thank you for making me believe again in true fantasy.p.s my husband was happy that I'm reading again but not about all your books I bought at once lol. I read them very quickly lol. Your newest and permanent fan. Jennifer Gibson.
